JUST JOEY ROSE

acrylic on canvas. December, 2011

I love roses, especially the Just Joey rose.

The flower can grow quite large, and smells so clean and delicious.

JUST JOEY. 2011

Just Joey. Acrylic on canvas. 2011. 1 metre x 1 metre.

I love the Just Joey Rose, and in fact, I love all flowers!

Summer of roses! O empress of flowers!
You are all I care to know: you and your many sisters.

VASE AND FLOWERS

ink on acid- free paper. 26th April 2011

Sometimes the most simple line drawings can be quite simple in their effect on us,

lending itself to a visual and a feeling, that is easy, and comfortable.

OXFORD STREET

acrylic on canvas. 18th October, 2010

Streetscape of Oxford Street, in the heart of Sydney, NSW.

It is busy, lively, colourful, and interesting.

DELIGHT

Delight. Acrylic on canvas. October, 2010

This particular painting has been ‘modernised’ through the use of the flowers being

a touch anthropomorphic. There seems to be an attitude about the

way they ‘carry themselves’. This was the intention. Flowers with attitude…

50’s UNITE

Drawing on acid free card, then digitally enhanced with visual graphic embellishments.

10th October, 2010

This work was advertised in, and made for a leading Art magazine to advertise for over 50’s artists to become a co operative in venturing with group projects.

Unfortunately, most were busy with grandchildren, and the verve that was needed to reinforce

this practical concept was greatly hindered by this fact. Fortunately though, I realised that not everyone my age

still gets buzzed by the thought of art making!
